Aguirre: The Wrath of God. According to IMDB: A few decades after the destruction of the Inca empire, a Spanish expedition leaves the mountains of Peru and goes down the Amazon river in search of gold and wealth. Soon, they come across great difficulties and Don Aguirres, a ruthless man who cares only about riches, becomes their leader. But will his quest lead them to "the golden city", or to certain destruction?

We have a week here between camp and Romania, so let's try another movie this Tuesday, July 15th at 7:00. How about Billy Wilder's Avanti!. It is more than a film with mildly superfluous punctuation in its title... it also stars Jack Lemmon! It was nominated for a whole slew of Golden Globes! I had no idea the Golden Globes existed in 1972!
So, if you'd like Avanti's food (ha ha), let me know by 5:30 and I'll have it at my house by 6:30. See you then!

This May is Edmund Goulding month at Classic Movie Tuesdays! Who is Edmund Goulding, you may ask? He is the director of 32 different films, including 1947's Best Picture nominee, Razor's Edge. Curiously, he not only directed the film, but also was credited with writing 4 of the songs on the soundtrack. Come this Tuesday and see if they are any good. The movie will start at 7:00, and let Jayme know by Tuesday at 5:30 if you would like to share in pizza at 6:30. See you then!
